Details: United States nationals are not required to obtain Slovak entry visas if their stay in the Slovak Republic does not exceed 30 days. Those U.S. nationals who wish to be in the Slovak Republic for a period exceeding 30 days must apply for a Long Term Stay Permit. This Permit should be also applied for if you intend to work or study in Slovakia. Applications are to be made at the Consular and Visa Section of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Washington, DC. Canadian nationals do not need visas to enter the Slovak Republic provided that are staying in the Slovak Republic for less than 90 days. Nationals of Central and South America (with the exception of Cuba) need visas to enter Slovakia. The visa fee may vary from country to country. Please check the following details below. No vaccination certificates are required to enter the Slovak Republic unless a person is coming from an infected area. A foreigner entering the territory of the Slovak Republic must, upon request, show a proof of having both of the following:

$15.00 per person/day (or adequate amount in other convertible currency). For children under 15 years of age the required amount is reduced by 50%.
An amount which equals the price of a return ticket to the country of his/her residence or the return ticket itself.
